Other New Zealand Medals and Awards - The New Zealand Memorial Scroll
About the New Zealand Memorial Scroll
The New Zealand Memorial Scroll was awarded to the next of kin of New Zealand service personnel who lost their lives in New Zealand during the period 1939 to 1945 or who subsequently died as a result of their service. The illustrated scroll is 8x13 inches in size and was intended to be framed.
For those who died overseas while on "active service", or subsequently died from causes attributable to that service, the New Zealand Memorial Cross (King George VI) was awarded to their next of kin.
