British Commonwealth Jubilee and Coronation Medals
Sovereigns and Governments have traditionally struck medals to commemorate important events such as Coronations, Jubilees and Anniversaries. A great number of these have been issued in the last century, however, only the more recent (from 1935) are represented here. The Government or the Sovereign issues these medals to representative groups of citizens or to individuals, both military and civilian.
