Prime Minister, Rt Hon Helen Clark will join the Chief of Defence Force, Air Marshall Bruce Ferguson and other NZDF personnel to farewell a 50 strong contingent leaving for Iraq on Friday 5 March 2004 from RNZAF Base Ohakea at 9.30 am.

The Light Engineer Group will continue the humanitarian, rehabilitation and reconstruction work in South-east Iraq that was begun in September with the first deployment of New Zealanders to the region.
